A lot has happened at Ewaka in the past weeks and months. The kitchen has been completed and expanded by a roofed dining area right next door. Thanks to a self-built oven, we are now able to make our own bread, pizza and cake. There’s a new volleyball and badminton court, a roomy treehouse, tire swings as well as a painted teepee which allow for exciting recreational activities. In the computer room, the kids and teens can learn how to operate a PC. Moreover, a weekly movie night is taking place in the new and comfy TV room.
We want to take this moment to express our gratitude to everyone who has helped Ewaka become what it is today and contributed to its progression in a big way. Special thanks go to our volunteers, who have supported the project and the children with many great creative ideas during the past 12 months.
Donations for Kato
A few weeks ago, Kato got severely ill. Thanks to financial support, he was able to receive treatment and undergo surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery caused severe health effects on Kato, who has since been reliant on a wheelchair. The medication is only slowly showing positive effects, which is why Kato is currently depending on constant care. Furthermore, he is regularly attending physiotherapy, which we hope will help him make progress.
Unfortunately, the ongoing costs for Kato’s medication, caregivers and physiotherapy are immense, which is why we are relying on your financial support. We are grateful for every donation and any kind of support!
